Features Writer
Mohammed Tahir
I joined the website in 2025 as a features writer. I add outside commentary to Muslim-specific matters and put forth opinion pieces. My work focuses on bridging the gap between Muslim perspectives and political discourse, offering insights that connect the past with present-day challenges. Through my writing, I aim to engage readers in meaningful discussions about policy, identity, and the role of Muslims in shaping political landscapes. I felt that too often Muslims have sincere yet misplaced intentions in their political beliefs and it is my ambition to address this by switching the way we view modern politics not through the lens the mainstream media gives us, but the lens that we have through our Islamic tradition and culture.
I currently read History at University College London, which allows me to provide historically grounded analyses of contemporary issues.

Founder & Owner
Mustafa Samadi
I founded this website in 2021, initially as a centre-right political blog. My early focus was on British politics, where I provided commentary on the Labour and Conservative parties. I also had the opportunity to interview figures such as Sir Desmond Swayne, Sally-Ann Hart, and Simon Fell MP. In 2025, I re-launched the website to serve a much greater purpose: connecting orthodox Muslims to politics. My mission is to empower Muslims politically by fostering informed engagement, amplifying our perspectives, and bridging the gap between faith and civic life.
I currently study a BSc in Politics and International Relations at University College London, which equips me with the analytical tools to navigate and contribute to political discourse from an informed and principled standpoint.

Design Lead
Musab bin Umair
I joined the website in 2025 in a design capacity. I make thumbnails for all the articles seen on this website and have been responsible for designing marketing material and other deign elements such as the logo for Rightstance. I believe that all Muslims should be politically literate and for that to happen, they need to be visually engaged in the material they read.

I study a BSc in Architecture at University College London, allowing me to be aware of the principles of design, composition, and visual communication. This background helps me craft engaging, balanced, and impactful visuals that capture attention while enhancing the readability and appeal of Rightstance’s content.
